We Call For A California Citizen's Constitutional Convention.

Countdown to the State Filing Deadline: Due to Reset Shortly.  We Are NOT Repair California!  We Oppose any Corporate attempt to Privatize California's Public Assets!  We are the ONLY democratic alternative for the People!  We want to re-frame our State.  We are 100% Grassroots.  We first filed on June 24th 2009, and recently pulled our Two Initiatives in order to start over.  We are set to re-file on January 15th, 2010.  We call out to all Students and Rank and File Labor in California to Join us

(Please join your local Facebook Group, and send our attachment files to all your friends)
Our two Constitutional Initiatives grant the People of California the right to call Our Constitutional Convention by Initiative, and Calls the Convention to Draft a New State Constitution.  The California Attorney General issued Titles and Summaries on August 14, 2009.  In early January 2010, we pulled our two Proposed Constitutional Articles 36, and 37, to allow us to re-file and re-set the Calendar Deadline so we can qualify for the November 2nd 2010 Statewide Ballot.  We support a non-partisan plurality effort to pass our two Initiatives  We support the free election of all Convention Delegates based on the principle of One Person / One Vote.  We oppose the selection of Delegates proposed by Repair California. If you are a California Citizen and are over the age of 18, you can run to become a Delegate if you so choose.  We open up all 35 Articles of our current Constitution for a clean sheet of paper approach to real solutions, in a full scope Convention.  We are certain it is now time to redesign and reframe Our State Government.  Please explore this first temporary site.  We are hard at work to re-start our campaign with the endorsements and funding a serious opposition deserves to stop a well funded Republican Party Focused Corporate attempt to privatize our California.

Look at what the Education Budget now pays for!

This is a reading of our American Creed.
This is what we seek to model our New California Constitution on,
and we include a discussion on exactly why there can never be
any limited scope Constitutional Convention.

This Video Lecture covers why the California Student Movement
is not being covered now, and why
There Will Be NO Media Coverage Of Our Campaign !

It's all up to you !!!  If you want CHANGE in California - BE THE CHANGE.
Note: There are 10 Segments in this clip - 100 minutes total.

We suggest you watch it all.  We are attempting to organize every Community College, every CSU and UC Campus now.  If you want to Change California - it really is all up to you and your friends.

There are 80 Facebook Groups set up for you to join and recruit all your friends to join also - behind the "Social Networks" link to your left.

On Facebook we are the California Constitutional Convention Group.

Welcome our work area on line.  We now build a Logical Virtual Private Network.  This is an aggregate group effort and we need your participation. As each joins in we build what academics refer to as "Organizational Capacity".  Please bookmark us and get tuned.  We have many features and new on-line and off-line tools on the way.  We introduce the concept of a Jelly to on-line organizing.  These may become a great tool to gather Teams across the State and work on the various new Training Modules we have planned.  The collaboration concept is not new - the application is.  If you have ideas and suggestions, lets hear them now.  Each of all 80 California Assembly Districts will use a Group Tumblr Blog so everyone can watch us.

Our Sign-Up forms now work.  Please signup and help us.  Our Campaign Donation process is open.  We need to raise $50,000.00 quickly to pay for petitions and our initial staff.  We have committed to 7 top Obama Field Organizers experienced with organizing Regions and States.  We ask Two Thousand Five Hundred Concerned California Citizens to pitch-in $20.00 each now.  If you want to effect real Change in California, this is it !  We need you to host house parties for both petition signing and fundraising.  You can get petitions from your Assembly District Petition Coordinator, by either sending them a message on Facebook, or joining the campaign's meetings.

Your Navigation Menu is to the left of your screen.  All that and more is on the way.  We need you to recruit your friends, family, and local community. We are looking for small groups of Students at every Community College, and CSU Campus to hook up now.  Please send us a message regarding what School you attend and will Administer a Facebook Group and Jelly.

One critical goal is to engineer the logic so we can all Organize California. One Old School Rule of web-work is to never open until you are open!  Well, we don't have time for Old School.  Our State is broken now.  It is up to all of us to clean up the mess.  We need to step up and stand accountable together.  We can end the California Nightmare.  We must.

We will build as we go based on two simple concepts: Use the Web to Build the Web, and Use the Net to Build the Net.  Catch the wave ! ! !  Please spread the word and begin recruiting all your friends.  Keep it to California. We need 750,000 signatures but our goal is 1,500,000 signatures, then on to November 2010.  When we win on November 2nd 2010 that means the Convention will Convene sometime in March of 2011.  We should be voting on Ratification by the November 2011 to February 2012 time-frame.  Our new Constitution will then go into effect with all changes made, and we should have our normal Primary Elections in June, and Elect our new Constitutional Officers (all of them) in November 2012.

Our Focus Statement:  C.A.N. is all about fair and open processes.

Everyone has their Pet Issues.  It is time for Coalition Building Now!

We all agree to our need for fair and open processes.  Our effort is all inclusive.  It is time we all band together for comprehensive solutions.

We each hold to seven fundamental principles in this collective exercise in millennial civics: 1.) Honesty is not negotiable; 2.) We can all check our egos at the door and keep the drama out of the teams; 3.) We can have fun while we do the work; 4.) Respect each other, as you would want to be respected; 5.) Empower everyone, as wisdom comes from everyone's collective participation; 6.) Include everyone, as everyone matters without regard to where they stand on any issue; and 7.) Empathize with others.  If you join in, we welcome your agreement to these seven principles at entry.

We lead by example, not by our words.  No one gets terminated.  Everyone is indispensable.  We each have a special individual humanity to express. Everyone is valid. We must strive for fairness in all our decision processes. Within our groups, while at our meetings, as well as during our "one on one" efforts let us be kind, thoughtful and considerate first.  We agree before we volunteer, to respect our Political Equality, the Rule of a Simple Majority, and honor our Personal Liberty to be ourselves.  We may disagree, but we agree not to be disagreeable.  There is too much at stake, and we are all stakeholders.

These are our simple rules of the road.  We do not have a long legal terms of service, as common sense should suffice to all.  No one has any right to be abusive, to name call, or to be anti-social on this website.  If a "time out" is necessary, remember from the first: two warnings from any Team Admin, and thats it.  If you find your participation cut short, please go to your local group and work it out there.  If the majority want to grant your return, cool.

Lets get to work!  Surfs Up!
